Washington, D.C. – WestExec Advisors announced today that Rear Admiral Lorin Selby, USN (Ret.), has joined as a Principal and Eric Green has joined as a Senior Advisor.
Rear Admiral Lorin Selby, USN (Ret), most recently served as the Chief of Naval Research, where he oversaw the development of leading-edge technologies for the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps and $4B in investment. In his 36-year career, Lorin served in several high-profile positions where he made long lasting impact on the Navy and U.S. national security. Notably, he was the first non-Engineering Duty Officer selected as the Chief Engineer of the Navy and Deputy Commander for Naval Sea Systems Command. In this role, he drove innovation, optimized performance, and generated new ways of doing business for the command. He previously served as Commander for the Naval Surface Warfare Centers and as Deputy Director for the Navy Office of Legislative Affairs in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Eric Green most recently served as Special Assistant to the President and Senior Director for Russia and Central Asia on the National Security Council staff from 2021-2023, where he helped design and execute U.S. policy before and during the war in Ukraine. This NSC job was the culmination of a 32-year career in the U.S. Foreign Service, in which Eric served as the Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. Embassy in Warsaw, Poland, the Director of the Office of Russian Affairs in the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs in the U.S. Department of State, Minister-Counselor for Political Affairs at the U.S. Embassy in Moscow, Principal Officer at the U.S. Consulate in Adana, Turkey, and Chief of Staff for the Secretary of State’s Policy Planning Office.
