Washington, D.C. – WestExec Advisors announced today that Rebecca Brocato and Christian Marrone have joined as Senior Advisors.
Rebecca joins WestExec as a Senior Advisor after serving as Chief of Staff of the Development Finance Corporation (DFC), the development finance agency of the United States. DFC has $34B assets under management and functions like a bank, providing impactful equity investments, loans, and political risk insurance to private sector-led projects in the U.S. interest. As chief of staff, Rebecca led the agency’s strategic planning and policy functions and oversaw landmark investments in critical minerals and information and communications technology (ICT). She was previously a Special Assistant to President Biden and NSC Senior Director for Legislative Affairs. In the Obama Administration, Rebecca served on the NSC staff and as the President’s chief liaison to the national security committees in the House of Representatives. She also served at the State Department, where she focused on sanctions, foreign military sales, and Middle East policy. In addition to her work with WestExec, Rebecca is Founder and Principal at Stony Run Advisory and a visiting fellow at the SNF Agora Institute at Johns Hopkins University. She began her career as an aide to Sen. Ben Cardin (D-MD).

Before joining WestExec as a Senior Advisor, Christian served as Senior Vice President for Government Affairs for Lockheed Martin. In this position, he led the corporation’s activities with Congress, and the Executive Branch, and managed all federal, state, and local government customer relationships. Christian also has the unique distinction of having served as a senior presidential appointee in both the Bush and Obama Administrations. He served as Chief of Staff of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security for then-Secretary Jeh Johnson and held several senior positions within the U.S. Department of Defense, including as special assistant to then-Secretary Robert Gates and acting Assistant Secretary of Defense for Legislative Affairs.
