Former Special Assistant to the President at the White House and Chief of Staff of the Development Finance Corporation
Rebecca Brocato is Founder and Principal at Stony Run Advisory. She launched Stony Run after serving as Chief of Staff of the Development Finance Corporation (DFC), the development finance agency of the United States. With $34B assets under management, the agency provides private equity investments, loans, and risk insurance to private sector-led developmental projects, supporting numerous frontier and emerging markets and verticals across critical infrastructure, energy, technology, and women’s empowerment.
Rebecca served previously as Special Assistant to President Biden and NSC Senior Director for Legislation Affairs. In that role, she was the principal advisor to the National Security Advisor on Congress and legislation.
In the Obama Administration, Rebecca was the President’s chief liaison to the House Foreign Affairs, Armed Services and Intelligence Committees. She also served at the State Department, where she focused on foreign military sales and Middle East policy. She began her career as an aide to Senator Ben Cardin (D-MD).
A native of Baltimore, Maryland, Rebecca is a graduate of Harvard and Oxford.
