Former Acting Assistant Secretary and former Deputy Assistant Secretary for Legislative and Intergovernmental Affairs, U.S. Department of Commerce
Will Turner brings senior executive branch and congressional experience across the U.S. Department of Commerce and both chambers of Congress.
Will most recently served in the Trump Administration at the Department of Commerce, first as Acting Assistant Secretary and then as Deputy Assistant Secretary for Legislative and Intergovernmental Affairs. In those roles, he helped lead the Department’s engagement with Congress and state and local officials.
Prior to joining the executive branch, Will spent nearly a decade on Capitol Hill, including as Chief of Staff to former U.S. Rep. Mike Garcia, who served on the Defense Appropriations Subcommittee and the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. In that role, Will helped lead legislative strategy on appropriations, defense, national security, and space policy.
Will holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Tulane University.
